The Associated Press article NEW YORK — The NBA All Star Game will be played in the city that’s been the home of the NBA for more than 150 years.
The AP is reporting that Los Angeles, the hometown of Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, is the best destination for the All-star game to be played.
The AP’s sources say that Los Angelenos love to watch the NBA and its events in L.A. It’s where the NBA All Stars are held.
The NBA’s media relations team will be based in Los Angeles during the game.
The city also hosts the Staples Center and the Staples Superdome, home of Los Angels Dodgers baseball team.
Los Angeles hosts all NBA events except the NBA Finals, where the league plays at home.
Los Angeles has a reputation for being a city that loves its sports, with a population of 2.4 million.
